eToro was founded in Israel in 2007 and became one of the best-known retail investing platforms by pioneering social trading and its CopyTrader feature. The company listed on Nasdaq in 2025.
eToro (Europe) is licensed by CySEC (109/10), eToro (UK) by the FCA (583263), with an ASIC-regulated Australian entity and a Seychelles entity (SD076). In the US, securities are offered via a FINRA-member broker-dealer and crypto services via a FinCEN-registered entity.
eToro uses its own web and mobile platform and does not support MetaTrader. Users can trade real stocks and ETFs, crypto and CFDs, or copy other investors' portfolios. Costs include spreads, overnight CFD fees, currency conversion on non-USD deposits and a $5 withdrawal fee.
Minimum deposits vary by country, around $50 in many regions. Funding options include cards, bank transfer and PayPal. eToro does not accept residents of Iran.
