Full review
Gate launched in 2013 and is one of the oldest active exchanges. In 2025 it rebranded from Gate.io to Gate, with gate.com as its main domain.
In April 2025 its Dubai arm obtained a full VARA licence, and in October 2025 its Malta entity received a MiCA licence from the MFSA, enabling services across the EEA. Gate publishes Proof of Reserves.
With 3,500+ assets, Gate has one of the broadest listings, which brings both opportunity and risk from illiquid projects. Base spot fees are 0.1%, and futures, options, copy trading, bots, a launchpad (Startup) and earn products are available.
Funding is via crypto, cards and P2P. Gate does not accept residents of Iran.
